Spring has arrived, can you believe it? But that doesn’t mean we’re finished playing in the snow! With one of the longest ski and ride seasons in North America, we wanted to give you a quick rundown of operational plans as we enter this warmer season before changes come into effect. Have a look below:
Both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains will remain open for skiing and riding until April 14. Starting April 15, spring skiing will be available on Whistler Mountain exclusively and will close on May 20 (conditions permitting). Every spring, we shift to operating skiing and riding on one of the two mountains, and this year, we’re closing Blackcomb to accommodate lift maintenance requirements and to begin construction on Jersey Cream as we upgrade it from a 4-pack to a high-speed 6-pack chairlift ahead of the winter 2024/25 season!
Throughout the spring season, lifts will spin for skiing and riding daily on Whistler Mountain. Guests can also look forward to sightseeing on Whistler Village Gondola daily until May 20, before shifting over to Blackcomb Gondola on May 21 through to June 14. PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola will remain closed for maintenance before reopening for summer sightseeing on June 15. Guests are encouraged to visit the Whistler Blackcomb website for hours of operation.
Mountain Bike Riders – we haven’t forgotten about you! @whistlerbikepark will open for its banner 25th season on May 17 (Whismas!), with the upgraded Fitzsimmons Express making its Whistler Mountain Bike Park debut, just in time for the Victoria Day long weekend / grand finale of spring skiing and riding. Who’s ready for some dual-sport days on Whistler Mountain?! 🚵⛷️🏂
A reminder that Epic Passes for the 2024/25 winter season are on sale now. Guests who purchase by April 14 receive 10 Buddy Tickets to share with friends and family. Restrictions and exclusions apply. Epic Day Pass does not include Buddy Tickets. 2024/25 Passes are valid for skiing and riding starting fall 2024
