The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup takes place on the traditional unceded territory of the Lil’wat Nation and Squamish Nation. We are grateful to host this event on their territory and are committed to doing so respectfully.
Event Basics
When is the UCI World Cup at Whistler Blackcomb?
The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Downhill will take place September 25–27, 2026, in the Creekside Zone at Whistler Blackcomb.
Will the race be livestreamed or televised?
Yes. The race will be livestreamed globally through Warner Bros. Discovery, providing international broadcast and digital coverage.
Ticketing & Spectator Access:
How can I view the race on-mountain?
Spectators will have several on-mountain viewing options, including both paid and free areas. All spectators will be required to enter through the event gates through our security checkpoints. Bags will be subject to search. Outside alcohol is not permitted onsite, more on prohibited items listed in this blog.
Ticket Options:
A range of ticketed experiences will be available, including:
- Casamigos VIP Lounge Experience (Sunday) – Elevated viewing decks with hospitality, food and beverage service.
- 2-Day VIP Backyard Bundle (Saturday & Sunday) – x2 days of premium viewing, BBQ and beverage inclusions.
- VIP Backyard Admission (Saturday or Sunday) – Premium viewing experience with elevated BBQ, and beverage inclusions.
- Finish Line Frontyard Spectator Access (Saturday or Sunday) – Family-friendly access right in the heart of the action. This zone is unlicensed, no alcohol service, capacity is limited.
- Gondola Spectator Access (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) – x1 Creekside Gondola upload, allowing spectators to walk the full race course.
- Reserved Creekside Underground Parking (Saturday, Sunday) – Convenient reserved parking for event attendees.
FREE spectator viewing opportunities will be available along the racetrack via designated walking access routes. Not ticketed. No reservations required.
No bike or sightsee event access permitted with any existing pass products (Epic Pass, Any Whistler Blackcomb Sightsee Ticket or Pass, or Whistler Mountain Bike Park Ticket or Pass do not grant access). Access is only available to Gondola Spectator Access Ticket Holders.
Where are the spectator zones?
Are tickets transferable?
Yes tickets are final sale and transferable.
Is the event kid friendly?
Yes. This is a family friendly event, and spectators of all ages are welcome.
Getting Here & Transportation:
How do I get to the race?
We highly recommend arriving by foot, bike, or public transit. Limited vehicle parking is available at Creekside Base, and reservations are required for September 26 and 27.
Can spectators drive to the venue?
No. General spectators are not permitted to drive to the venue, and traffic control personnel will turn vehicles away. Local Nordic traffic will continue to be permitted. Exceptions will be made for guests with accessibility needs, review accessibility section below.
Where is the road closure and vehicle checkpoint located?
The road closure and traffic checkpoint will be located at the intersection of Nordic Drive and Whistler Road.
What parking will be available during the event?
Parking will not be available in the Creekside Parkade Upper Deck during the event week, September 21 to 28. This area will host the UCI Mountain Bike World Series Team’s Paddocks. This area will be open to fans and spectators.
Parking is available throughout the week in the lower levels of the Creekside Parkade. Parking reservations will be required for the Creekside Parkade for September 26 and 27 and capacity is very limited for this weekend. Parking reservations will be released at the same time as event ticketing on events.com.
Creekside parking is limited to vehicles under 2.28 metres. No overheight vehicle parking will be available in Creekside from Monday, September 21 through September 28.
There will be a limited amount of under height short term parking on P1 for Creekside Village patrons.
Guests travelling from the Lower Mainland can book third party bus companies or shuttles to Creekside, including Whistler Connection, Whistler Shuttle, Skylynx, Epic Rides, Squamish Connector, Shred Shuttle, and Poparide.
What public transit routes will be available from Whistler Village to Creekside?
25: Whistler Creekside Bus: Whistler, stop Whistler Creekside
21: Spring Creek, stop Whistler Creekside Base
20: Cheakamus, stop Whistler Creekside Base
20 X: Cheakamus Express, stop Whistler Creekside Base

How long will it take to travel from the Village Day Lots to transit stops?
Travel times vary depending on which parking lot you use and which bus route you choose. The estimates below are intended as a general guide:
- Lot 1: Approximately 5 minutes to the nearest transit stop.
- Lots 2-3: Approximately 5-10 minutes to the nearest transit stop.
- Lots 4-5: Approximately 5-15 minutes to the nearest transit stop.
Where/and what times are shuttles running?
Event shuttles will loop throughout the day between Legends and the top of the timing flats, with return service provided. Shuttles will be running every 10-20 minutes, subject to traffic volumes.

Where can I park?
Guests are encouraged to park in Parking Lots 1 through 5. Parking Lots 6 and 7 are also available but do not provide gondola access. More parking details are available through the Resort Municipality of Whistler parking page. Reminder there is no overnight parking available in these lots.
What parking is available for overheight vehicles?
The RMOW only offers over height/ oversized paid parking in Day Lot Oversized Lot (next to Lot 3), which has limited availability and allows for a maximum of 24 hours parking.
Can I store my bike?
Bike Valet will be available at Creekside Base, next to the Creekside Gondola. The bike valet service will be by donation in support of Whistler Community Services Society.
Bike Valet hours:
- Saturday, September 26: 8am to 6pm
- Sunday September 27: 8am to 6pm
Will there be a designated walking route?
Yes! A signed walking route will also be available and is approximately 800 meters, or about an 15-20 minute walk. The walking path will be marked on the spectator map and clearly signed from the base of Creekside Gondola.
If you plan to walk to up the 1199 course, please wear a pair of suitable hiking shoes, with traction. Wet conditions will make the course slippery. Weather can change quickly in the mountains, dress appropriately and be prepared for changing weather and potential rain.
Accessibility
Will there be accessible viewing areas at the event?
Yes. A free accessible viewing area will be available near the finish zone. No ticket is required; however, capacity is limited to 10 guests. Please note that terrain throughout the venue may be uneven and include elevation changes. Mobi-mats will be installed from the entrance of the Timing Flats (top of Nordic Drive) to the accessible viewing area, although muddy conditions may affect traction on the mats.
Is accessible transportation available?
Yes. Accessible transportation is available on Saturday and Sunday via the Toyota shuttle service, using 2026 Toyota Sienna LTD AWD (white). This service also serves as the VIP transportation vehicle. Guests using crutches or standard wheelchairs may use the shuttle; however, power wheelchairs cannot be accommodated.
How can guests using a power wheelchair access the venue?
Guests using a power wheelchair may be dropped off at the event site loop located at the top of Nordic Drive.
Is accessible parking available on site?
No. Accessible parking is not available on site. However, vehicles displaying a valid accessible parking permit may drop off passengers at the Timing Flats, located at the top of Nordic Drive. Accessible drop-off is available for event activations from Friday through Sunday. After drop-off, vehicles must leave the venue area.
Where can accessible parking be found in Creekside?
Accessible parking can be reserved through the Events.com for Creekside Underground for Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27. The Whistler Creekside Parkade also offers accessible parking on each of its main levels, with four designated accessible parking spaces located on P1, P2, and P3. Outside of race weekend (Saturday and Sunday), reservations are not required to use the Creekside Underground Parkade. For oversized vehicles, please use the designated oversized parking lots in Whistler Village.
Where can we find accessible washroom facilities?
Accessible portable toilets will be provided in both the public facilities area and in the VIP Backyard.
Race Day Information
What time does the venue open?
Venue will open daily Friday-Sunday at 8:00 AM
Will there be water refill stations on site?
Yes. You are welcome to bring a water bottle and fill up at the water refill station in the Timing Flats.
Will there be washroom facilities at the venue?
Due to the remote location of the venue, portable toilets will be available on site. Accessible portable toilets will be provided in both the public facilities area and in the VIP Backyard.
Can I bring food or alcohol on site?
Outside alcohol is not permitted. Food and beverages, including alcohol, will be available for purchase on site in designated licensed areas. Spectators are welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Please remember to pack out what you pack in.
Can I bring my pet?
Pets are not permitted on site. Certified guide and service animals are the only exceptions.
What items are prohibited on site?
The following items and activities are prohibited on site:
- Illegal drugs and controlled substances
- Drug paraphernalia
- Excessive intoxication
- Alcohol brought into licensed areas where outside alcohol is prohibited
- Firearms and ammunition
- Knives, axes, machetes, and other edged weapons
- Air guns, pellet guns, slingshots, and similar devices
- Fireworks, pyrotechnics, bear bangers, and explosives of any kind
- Flares and smoke devices
- Laser pointers
- BBQs and cooking equipment
- Bear spray and similar irritants
- Chainsaws and fuel-powered cutting equipment
- Fuel containers, gas cans, and other flammable liquids
- Drones (see our drone policy.)
Any prohibited items brought on site must either be surrendered or removed from the venue.
Whistler Blackcomb and the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series are not responsible for any surrendered items.
Are chainsaws allowed at the race?
Chainsaws are not permitted in the Beer Garden or paid spectator areas, including the Casamigos VIP Lounge, VIP Backyard, and Frontyard. Chainsaws are permitted trackside only if the bar and chain have been removed. Gas cans are not allowed anywhere on site. Please note that if the Fire Rating is designated as Extreme during the event, chainsaws will not be permitted on site under any circumstances.
Team paddock, merchandise and EXPO
Can I meet the athletes?
Yes. Team Paddocks will be located at Creekside Base next to the Creekside Market. Teams, mechanics, and athletes will be based in this area, providing opportunities to meet athletes throughout race week. Additional athlete appearance details and autograph sessions will take place on Friday, September 25.
Where can I buy event merchandise?
Can-Ski Creekside will be the official merchandise shop for the Whistler UCI World Cup. The store will carry a full range of Whistler Mountain Bike Park, Whistler World Cup, and the 1199 Stevie Smith Collection merchandise. An event pop up merchandise shop will also be located at the Timing Flats in the finish area expo.
What should I do after the race? Will there be any events or after parties? There will be plenty happening after the race. Additional details about official after parties will be shared closer to the event, so stay tuned.
Where is the Event Fan Zone and Partner Expo located?
The Event Fan Zone and Partner Expo are located at the Timing Flats Finish Area. This space features interactive Fan Zone activations from UCI Mountain Bike World Series global partners, along with the official Event Partner Expo.
Can I apply to have an activation or booth in the Expo?
At this time, we are not accepting additional expo activations, aside from confirmed event partners. For information on expo activations, please contact odagan@vailresorts.com.
Bike Park & Riding
What trails will be open at Whistler Mountain Bike Park?
Garbanzo and Creekside zones will be open for riding until September 23. The Fitzsimmons Zone will remain open through October 12, including during UCI World Cup race weekend.
Can I still ride while the event is happening?
Yes. The event takes place during Whistler Mountain Bike Park’s fall operating period. The Fitzsimmons Zone will continue to operate during the event, following fall riding hours.
Creekside Village and Franz’s Trail Businesses
Will Creekside and the Parkade be closed during UCI event?
No. Creekside Village and Franz’s trail businesses remain open throughout the event. Limited short term complimentary underheight parking will be available in P1 for continued service from these businesses.
