Summer operations at Whistler Blackcomb kick off THIS WEEKEND! We’re thrilled to welcome guests from the Sea to Sky Corridor, Lower Mainland, across Canada, the U.S. and around the world for another summer of incomparable mountain adventure experiences.
MERRY WHISMAS TO ALL
The fun kicks off today with the opening of Whistler Mountain Bike Park (WMBP) for its 25th anniversary season. This summer, we’re looking back on the history of WMBP through our #ProgressIsThePurpose campaign and encourage guests to join in using this hashtag when sharing content on social media. The anniversary will also bring many exciting surprises and activations throughout the summer – stay tuned for more information.
New this year, the freshly upgraded Fitzsimmons Express chairlift boasts the capability of transporting riders and bikes on the same chair, eliminating the need to use separate carriers as done in previous years. This increase in uphill capacity will be a gamechanger for WMBP guests looking to quickly access the popular Fitz Zone. Additionally, the Gatorade Skills Zone has received two new trails, allowing more opportunity for riders to safely hone their skills. Other highlights include the return of the Phat Wednesday race series, and Crankworx Whistler – one of the world’s largest mountain bike festivals – taking center stage at WMBP from July 19 to 28.

ALPINE ADVENTURES AWAIT
For guests looking for adventure beyond the bike park, there are plenty of other ways to experience the stunning natural beauty of Whistler Blackcomb. The reimagined Summer Alpine Experience (formally the Summer 360 Sightsee Experience), which launches Tuesday, May 21 via Blackcomb Gondola, offers lift-accessed alpine adventures and activities on the mountain with over 50km of hiking and trail running, mountain top dining, sightseeing, special events and more. The world-famous PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, Whistler Village Gondola, and Peak Express with access to Cloudraker Skybridge and Raven’s Eye Lookout will be added June 15.

- Bear Viewing Tours: Did you know 50 black bears and cubs reside on Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains? They have adapted to feeding, mating, and hibernating within ski area habitats.
