New reservation options, and all resort-operated parking remains free!

As Whistler Mountain gets ready to celebrate the big 6-0, we’re bringing more than just cake and nostalgia to the party. We’re looking at how to make every visit into and around the resort just a little bit more epic —whether you’re here for fresh lines, après, or just that feeling of standing in awe of the Coast Mountains (again).
Last winter, we piloted a new carpool program in Upper Lot 7 and Creekside Garage (P1), giving free priority parking to vehicles with four or more people. The program ran during weekends and peak periods, and spoiler alert: it worked. Seventy percent of cars in our carpool lots had four or more passengers—which tells us that when we make it easier to carpool, our guests are all in (and then some). Were there circumstances in which we flexed to accommodate vehicles with fewer numbers? Absolutely – a parent struggling with two little ones in tow; a lost guest who just needed to regroup; or a car with three people arriving right before 11am. All exceptions we were happy to make. The program was about shifting behaviour, building trust with our guests and establishing our commitment to a better parking and arrivals experience for everyone.
Now, as we gear up for another epic winter—and a milestone birthday— at Whistler Blackcomb, we’re building on that success with additional parking and carpooling options for winter 2025/26 in resort-operated lots, including Creekside Parkade and Upper Lots 6-8. All our resort lots remain free to park and these changes are designed to make your arrivals smoother, your parking easier, and your stoke levels higher. Here’s what’s new:
- Enhanced carpooling will consist of a mix of free, first come, first served (FCFS) carpooling and free reserved carpooling, for vehicles with four or more occupants, and apply to Upper Lots 7 and P1 of Creekside Parkade.
- Free reservations-based parking will be available in Upper Lot 6, the Creekside Parkade Surface Overheight, and P2 of Creekside Parkade.
- Free general occupancy parking will be available on a first come, first served (FCFS) basis, and apply to Upper Lot 8, the Creekside Parkade Surface Overheight, and P3 and P4 of Creekside Parkade.
- Drop-off parking will prioritize our Snow School families and be available at Upper Lot 6 and the Creekside Parkade Surface Overheight.
- Details on how to reserve a spot will be shared ahead of the start of the winter 2025/26 season.
- In addition to the lots owned by Whistler Blackcomb, there are a number of paid parking lots that provide access to the resort owned by the municipality. Those lots include 1-5, and information about the municipality’s parking policies can be found here.
- Maps of all parking lots that provide access to the resort can be found here.
Similar to our trial program, these new updates will run from opening day of the winter 2025/26 season to April 5, 2026, specifically between 6-11 AM on weekends, holiday Mondays, and the core festive days of Dec. 27-31, 2025. After 11 AM on these days, these lots will open to all vehicles, without the need for a reservation regardless of the number of passengers in the vehicle. Parking in these resort-operated lots remains free at all times.
This is just one of the many ways we’re working to make your journey to the mountains as epic as the day you’ll have once you’re here. Whether you’re chasing powder along our Wonder Routes, marveling at our weekly Fire & Ice show, celebrating love and inclusivity at Whistler Pride, or celebrating the season at the World Ski and Snowboard Festival, we want your experience to be seamless from driveway to après.
More details on the new free, reservations-based parking system will roll out as we get closer to the 2025/26 season. In the meantime, head over to our Getting Here & Parking page for the FAQs—and maybe start dreaming about where your first lap of the season will be.
Thanks for rolling with us (literally), and we can’t wait to welcome you back for another unforgettable season of adventure, celebration, and mountain magic.
